Joomla is not only known for its versatility but also for its highly responsive community. In fact, the official Joomla forum has made its 2 million posts shortly before April’s Fools day. This comes to great delight to the community and the developer itself as it shows how successful the content management system has become.
Joomla forums has more than 450,000 topics worldwide and with this number, it is estimated that eac topic contributed to at least 4 posts during their lifetime. Not much but this probably excludes the number of spams on the website. This also means that the website has 2,000,000 worth of high quality and informative posts.
Joomla users should definitely wait for the release of Joomla 1.6 as developers said there will be new features that will be worth checking out. They are anticipating another million worth of posts after version 1.6 is released.

There are millions of Joomla based websites on the Internet and of course all of these have something in common as they are from the same content management system. However, those that are successful are only a handful of the flock. And there are factors that make them successful as well.
First off, everyone knows that the basic Joomla website is not SEO friendly. This is because the links on a Joomla website aren’t search engine nor human friendly as it has a lot of dynamic URLs. For example, a link to a component will usually have the term com_component at the URL. This isn’t good at the eyes of the search engines. One way of tackling this problem is getting some SEO extensions that can hide these dynamic URLs.
In addition to that, a good website should also have a slideshow. This is because slideshows play an important role in giving out featured contents on the website and it attracts the visitors quickly and painlessly without them needing to scroll down.
A good design should also be there in any successful website but be sure not to overwhelm the visitors with Flash components. Some of these computers do not have Flash installed and they certainly don’t want to take any chances of installing them.
