The release of the Joomla 1.5.15 update saw the fixing of 60 issues related to the previous version of Joomla. The update is released 3 months after the release of Joomla version 1.5.14.
Two security issues were fixed in the version 1.5.15 with one of them being a moderately prioritized item and the other one with a low priority. Both of them were core issues and involved front-end editing as well as XML file view.
There were fixes as well as changes done to all parts of Joomla except for its Legacy files. The plugins part of Joomla had some of the most fixes as well as changes done to it followed by the systems files. Administration on the other hand had only one fix and that is regarding the FTP.
Some issues that were fixed worth mentioning is the PHP 5.3 compatibility issue. Users that are using PHP5.3 on their server can have a breath of relief as the issue is no longer a problem and was fixed by the Joomla development team.

Jumpbox is a great application from Jumpbox Inc. They offer a virtualized solution of some of the most used web applications on the Internet. It allows quick deployment to servers through various virtualization platforms such as Xen, VMWare, Amazon EC2 and many more.
A version of Jumpbox created for Joomla has been released for free courtesy of the company. It currently uses Joomla version 1.5.15 and utilizes the Linux based Ubuntu 8.04 LTS which is maintained till the second quarter by Ubuntu.
The Jumbox for Joomla is optimized and enhanced to ensure that the security and many other things are in proper condition. In fact, most of the things are configured properly by Jumpbox that the user can start working on the site once virtualization has started.
Jumpbox is also available for other scripts such as Magento, SugarCRM, ProjectPier and many more. However, there are only a handful of applications that are free and the ones mentioned before are not. Users will have to subscribe to Jumpbox for a subscription fee of $299/year. They will then gain access to all Jumpbox applications.
